Due to our continuous growth, Corrigenda are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated mechanical engineer/plumber to carry out a broad range of planned and reactive mechanical/plumbing tasks across Southampton and surrounding regions.

The work will be predominantly in commercial properties in the education, private & public sectors.

Key Responsibilities Include
(but not limited to):

· Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across the estate, including installation, repair, and servicing of plumbing systems, fixtures, and fittings (within capabilities and training).

· Support the business by mentoring and guiding plumbing apprentices, helping them develop technical skills and safe working practices.

· Work independently or as part of the plumbing & mechanical team to meet deadlines and contract performance standards.

· Work flexible hours, including occasional out-of-hours or emergency call-outs, to suit the plumbing and maintenance needs of the business.

· Ensure safe working practices at all times, including when working at height, in confined spaces, or with pressurised systems.

· Liaise with sub-contractors and other departments to coordinate and complete plumbing & mechanical repairs and installations effectively.

· Carry out any other plumbing and mechanical related tasks as required by the company, within your skills and experience level.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

Essential

· A suitable City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification

· Recognised Health & Safety training

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction

· Be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation

· Full UK driving licence

· Pass DBS / Police background checks for working in schools / Police stations
