This week is National Apprenticeship week. Corrigenda have been providing apprenticeships for engineers and office staff for many years which has been a great success for the individuals and the company, with all apprentices being offered a full-time job role at the end of their apprenticeship.
We have had many successful apprentices over the years at Corrigenda. Emma joined us as a business administrator apprentice straight from college, below is her story.
“I joined Corrigenda back in 2016 as a business administrator apprentice after completing a week’s work experience with Corrigenda. My apprenticeship lasted 2 years and I was visited monthly by my tutor who would come to the office and help me with my assessments. Once I passed my apprenticeship, I was offered a full-time role working on the Helpdesk as a helpdesk operator for the maintenance department. I built up my knowledge and skills and developed into a back-office job role, invoicing the clients and learning more of the finance side of the maintenance department. Corrigenda are still supporting my development within the company; I am currently completing my Level 3 Foundation course in Marketing. I have been fully supported by the team at Corrigenda through my 6 years with the company and look forward to continuing to learn new things as the company grows.”
Imogen Bee, one of our current Business Admin Apprentices, has said “I started my apprenticeship in June 2021 and have loved every minute. All Corrigenda staff including managers, are more than willing to help me. I have had many opportunities to work on different departments to broaden my knowledge and skills. This includes working with invoicing and finance teams and having the opportunity to organise meetings. This gives me a real-life examples that I can add to my college assignments. Because of all the help and support I’ve received from Corrigenda, I can complete all my assignments and tasks on time.”
Jack Cabala, one of our current electrical apprentices, has said “I am thoroughly enjoying my apprenticeship with Corrigenda. The working environment is a greatly suited to my college learning. The company itself clearly prioritises a people first culture. This has given me a great platform to grow and develop my learning effectively. As I progress, I am excited to see the opportunities which may open up within a diverse and forward looking company.”
Jodie Green, our Finance apprentice, has said “I’m nearing the end of my apprenticeship now, but I’ve always felt so supported by the entire Corrigenda Team. Thank you!”
